I will be moving to Apex,N.C. next year.I belong to N.C. local cake club now.I would love to talk to any cake decorator near Raleigh.I have been in the business for over 30 years and was shop owner for over 20 of those years.Retired but still want to do a few cakes or work in a cake shop part-time.Maybe teach as well. cakes2younc@aol.com

Does N.C. Cakers hold meetings or get together?I notice most of the comments are old? We are in Apex,N.C. about once a month.Our daughter and her family lives in Cary .Would like to find new cake friends.

Nancy, these comments are old.  I don't know about any cake clubs around the state other than the Carolinas chapter of ICES.  Would be great if someone would post any they know about.

Hi ladies!  Yes there is an NC ICES chapter the meets 4 times a year, twice the Raleigh area and twice in the Charlotte area.  You can find out information and dates at our webpage at www.ncices.org

I do belong to N.C. as well as Maryland  club just thought maybe there was one named N.C. Cakers.Looking to make new friends for when we move to Apex next year.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for someone to teach me a little more tricks of the trade.  I have to 3 projects comeing up.. A birthday cake and 2 wedding cakes  i want them to be bette than what i have done in the past please help.The picture i posted is a wedding cake i made.

katherine, your strawberry cake is adorable. The first thing I noticed, however, is that its not centered on the cake plate, seems like a small detail, but it's all the little details that make a cake fabulous (in my opinion), like your little pink basket strip among all the white ones. :)

Hi Everyone, Glad to see this group. Didn't know it was here. I have been doing cakes for well over 40 years and still love doing it. I'm self taught and keep learning new ideas from all the people here. I'm fairly new to this site and hope to make a lot of new cake friends.
