Middle Eastern Pastries?

Hi,

Actually I am Middle Eastern AND I own a home business making and decorating cakes and cupcakes (no pastries here sorry!) ..
I am not familiar with Persian pastries but I am interested to learn :) ....
Are you looking for Middle Eastern recipes or specifically Persian?

I do the cakes & cupcakes from home as well. We have so many Persian friends that they starting asking for many of the Persian pastries. I also do some Italian & French pastries as I spent time in Europe in my much younger days. I would love to any Middle Eastern recipes. We are always looking for new things to try.

Most of the Middle Eastern recipes I have are Persian & Kurdish and would love to share. I have cookies, baklava, nougats (Gaz), brittles, most are made with rose water, orange blossom water, rice flour, honey and lots of nuts.

My dad is Egyptian and my mother has several recipes for middle eastern pastries that she has perfected (according to dad) over the years. She has a great recipe for basboosa and her kounafa and baklawa are really wonderful. We also make cahk every year at Easter and Christmas. if you're interested in any of these recipes I can certainly get them for you!
