I will get my recipes together and share them. Have had a lot going on the past few weeks and have not been on the computer much...
This is an early Christmas treat for my family. it is an Arabic dessert called Bus-Bousa (also called semolina cake). It is yum.

Semolina - 2 cups
yoghurt - 1/2 cup
butter - 2 tbsp
Dessicated coconut - 1 cup
Tinned cream - 1
sugar - 1 cup
baking Powder - 2 tsp
egg -1

Fry semolina in the butter (3 min). Mix the above ingredients, decorate with split cashew and bake.

Syrup -
Sugar - 2 cups
water - 2 cups
lime jucie - 2 tbsp

Boil the above and keep aside. Pour the cool syrup on the cake as soon as it taken out of the oven. When cool cut and enjoy.

I have the houses all baked... ended up baking 12 of them. Do not like the cutter deal as much as I thouhgt I would. They are so small... I think my kids will be disappointed that they are as small as they are. Oh well... won't take as much candy to decorate them this way!!! I need to put them all together but have had so much housework to do and I don't move so fast these days so it's work a couple hours sit down and rest the knees for a half hour. Will post pics as soon as we get them done! Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!!!
Karen how creative! Love it!
I have not been on here hardly at all and was expecting to come on and find all kinds of wonderful things frome everyone.... looks like nobody has been on here!!!! I have pictures of our Grandson decorating his gingerbread house and forgot to take pics of everyone else and their houses!!!! I was having so much fun with him I forgot that everyone else was busy with theirs too! Might be a couple pictures of the mess the table was in... drove me nuts.... the kids are not as organized as I am for sure. I am a bit OCD when it comes to decorating and organization... my table looked like a bomb went off!!! Oh well... it was fun and they all had their houses done by the end of it all excpet for one of our son in laws... he got going and gave up and quit.... guess it's not his cup of tea....not a very patient guy!!!!

Jeri, he is very cute. You have given me a lovely idea for when I have grand kids (in the next 10 years) lol.
Jerri that was wonderful, thanks so much for sharing

I haven't even started on Christmas stuff, yes the house is decorated at least half way.... But I have had 2 birthday cakes and another one for next week...... Thanksgiving wore me out so I might get started some time soon on Christmas.
Each year around this fun festive time, Holiday time! ~ I like to try out a new cookie recipe or two or three...

Pretty; right?
Tasty?

mmmm chocolate crinkles... have not made those in years!!! I made a couple loaves of Carmel Apple Bread tonight and not sure what I did but not as good as usual. Oh well... I won't eat too much of it that way!

Tucker did have so much fun with his house and all the grown up kids had fun too! Not many decorations going up around here... I don't want to have to put them away after my surgery. My Thanksgiving Cactus is in full bloom have had it for 33 years. Was a gift from my mother the year we were married. It reminds me of her everytime it blooms. I think I am going to get a Poinsetta or something in place of the tree. I have never in 33 years not decorated my home at Christmas Time.... don't know how the shock of that will set! I am one of those who decorates every room... even the bathrooms get decorated! Everything is ready to roll for my surgery next Thursday... will probably not be around much for awhile after that. I am thinking sitting with the computer on my lap will probably be a no no... I am going to take it to the hospital but don't know how I will be feeling. Can't wait to see what everyone else does for Christmas!!!!
Sher those look yummy!!! I will go read your blog.... Good luck Jeri with your surgry... I am have a little minor one on the 16th, but should be up and going right after. I have very limited time to decorate my house so it doesn't have everything I would like, I hate putting all that stuff away.

I have one more birthday cake to do this weekend and then I am going to do something Festive after that.

I am so grateful for all of these new found caker friends I have found this year and hope you all have a wonderful Holiday, Christmas, Festive, Season!!! And a very Happy New Year (I am looking forward to the new year).
