Sponge Bob sheet cake

Hello to All!  I haven't been on here in awhile.  I would like to know if there is a way to make a sponge bob cake look like a sponge without doing it in all stars?  I have to have this ready for pick up by Saturday, May 18.  Any suggestions on the "sponge" look?  Thank you all in advance for your help.
