Your thoughts and ideas??!

Just got this email request....trying to wrap my head around this one. Thinking it's going to need one heck of an internal PVC support sysytem!!!

Hi Joann,

Here's one for you!! Let me share my vision and get your take on it.

My niece Amanda (also my God Daughter) is having a baby! She's due the first week of August, so we are already looking at a baby shower date of June 29th. I am coordinating and planning the party, which Amanda and her partner Chris would like to be a Co-Ed Luau/under the sea themed bash. They're hoping to have people come dressed in luau shirts and outfits, a pig roast/fresh fruits and homemade salad side dishes, lots of paper pineapples and palm trees, and beachy things, etc. it will be outdoor affair, under tents, at my sister in law's house. I've got an idea for the perfect cake, which by all estimates would be for approximately 100+ ppl!

So here we go- I see a little patch of sand, a few sand toys, a pail & shovel specifically, laying in the sand, maybe a little baby flip flop laying there as well but the center piece would be a bright colorful beach ball, sitting between the legs of a baby, who's fat little arms are resting on the ball, with their face hidden by pressing against the ball, so basically all you see is the baby's mop of blond curly hair, the fat little arms,back and bottom and fat little legs sticking out from under the ball, with the other flip flop on a foot, and wearing a plain white diaper!

I can see it perfectly in my minds eye and hope I've conveyed that idea to you! We of course haven't chosen any cake or frosting flavors yet, so I'll wait to hear back from you and your thoughts on the subject!

Ideas?? Thanks!!! (By the way...it needs to travel about 60 miles from here.....)

mmmm OK.......................am I getting that she wants a giant beach ball and baby? Or is that just a topper? From what you say, I think you're thinking giant baby?

Talked to her last night and explained there was no way I was going to try to get a giant baby and beachball 60 miles from here in one piece in the middle of summer when temps start to reach 100 degrees and the humidity is so bad it can melt your makeup. We are cuurently discussing Plan B!
