(This is not the exact tool that I have but it is similar) I own the Wilton Quilting tool love the idea behind the tool. But hate how it actually works. The little wheels on either end do not spin (they drag and tear the fondant), and they fall off every time I use it, one of these days I will loose the little wheels down the drain when I use it. And I know I hate to use it but I will reach for it anyways as it may work this time (never does). Do any of you have the same problem? and if you do how do you solve it? Or is there a better tool out there?

I have this tool and have had no problems with the wheel falling off or sticking. Sounds to me like you have a faulty tool
It would not surprise me that I purchased the faulty tool (it always seems to happen to me). But I will definitely hit up the fabric store in my area to try and find a tracing wheel. Thank- you very much.
I had the same problem. I emailed Wilton and they sent me a new one. The new one was a little better, but the problem is in the design, the teeth are too small. They also sell a white tool with two ends, one for the quilting look, the other is straight, for trimming. I got it at Joann Fabrics, use your coupon, or order on line from Wilton.
I have found a tracing wheel the teeth are not quite that deep but it gets the job done, thanks for all of your help
Speaking of tools can anyone recommend a good took to do ruffles on fondant??
Depends how big you want the ruffles, but I saw something in a tutorial or a book (really can't remember where sorry), where they used a toothpick. cheap easily accessible tool that gave a really good effect. I also experimented a few days ago with a cone tool and found that gave a good result too.

I have a different Wilton roll-e tool. Instead of looking like the usual tools, it is more like a small pizza cutter. I LOVE It! It came with 2 other little wheels -one ruffly & one with teeth. It's nice & smooth. Its perfect for just making impressions, but I sometimes use it to cut.
For Ruffles...I used a Jem Scallop cutter & then used the right side of the green tool (second from bottom) in the above photo.
I have now found something else and am never buying Wilton again, had an absolutely terrible experience with there customer service department and I will even pay more if to buy a different brand.
