Congrats Bettina!...only 20 to go?...just kidding...you'll get them done...:)

All the best!

stunning!!
beeeeeeuuuutiful! LOL...did you use a styrofoam bud for the center? Your rose has that fat center that looks exactly like the old country roses that used to be in my grandmothers garden.  Absolutely love it!

Thanks Ladies,

I am using the styrofoam rose cones for the centres. It is sooooo much easier than when I was trying to make gumpaste centres. A little hot glue on the end of the wire, push it into the cone and you're good to go.

I love that style of rose too, Cake Girl. Those luscious roses that actually have a scent. The lady next door to us has a gorgeous red rose whose scent carries on the breeze, and I can smell it from my front door. Mmmmmmmm!

Sooooo pretty!  Nice job. I have not tried the styrofoam centers... maybe I will next time.  Love it!

Would you mind sharing where you purchased your cone centers.  I have about 40 roses I need to make to go on the side of a wedding cake.  Hopefully this would make them a little bit lighter.

Thanks!

Wow! It's beautiful!!

Hi Sheila,
I bought mine from eBay, but you can also get them from Global Sugar art - they're called cel buds there.

You can also get styrofoam buds that are already wired!
