Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Dear All,

I studied all Wilton Cake Decorating Methods and finished this week Wilton Class Method 3 (gumpaste and fondant).

I am a novice baker and my friend asked me to bake a 7 tier cake for his 7 year old girl's birthday on July  01st.  It is Friday here in Saudi Arabia.

Since it will be so tough to bake all layers for 7 tiers, when is the time to bake and iced it?

I will use butter cream icing.

Please help me.. I am nervous but same time, excited to show my decorating ideas!

Thank you for your soonest reply.

Best wishes form Jeddah, Saudi Arabia,

Tess

You can bake your cakes now and put them in the freezer then take them out and let them thaw on the counter and then fill and crumb ice, chill then frost/fondant and then you can decorate it the day before the event.
Thak you Ellen, your such a great help.
