Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

If someone said they ate a mocha frappuccino cheesecake (in a restaurant) & want you to make them one, where would you start looking for a recipe.  Searching the internet has been useless simply because a "mocha frappuccino" is a Starbuck's name for a drink.  Do you think it's possible that the cheesecake was just a mocha cheesecake.  Any help is welcome & if someone has or can find a recipe online that would make my day.

Thanks!!!

I have two kids that work at Starbucks. What they use for the frappuccinos is a powder base and they mix that with ice, milk and sometimes espresso. Starbucks sells the Mocha base that they make their mocha syrup from in some stores but I think you can find it online. I would suggest that you could use Via...which is an instant coffee that they sell...add that to the cheesecake batter along with the Mocha base and it would be a Mocha Frappuccino flavored cheesecake....of course a must would be to top with heavy whipped sweetened cream (like they do the drinks) and a drizzle of the mocha syrup made with the mocha base. I make cupcakes like that all the time...but not for customers...only for me and my friends. The Via mixed into buttercream icing is unbelievably delicious if you like coffee...and add it to a chocolate cake batter for mocha cake...yummy! but I love coffee...might be why I raised two baristas...third one on the way!
Thank you sooooo much for this info. We have a Starbucks here so I'll call & see if they have these products. BTW--I also LOVE coffee :) & Congrats!!
Wow...I just read what I typed up there and it sounds like I'm preggers or something!!! LOL Oh no...my kids are all teenagers now. What I meant was...my youngest daughter is 15 and of course she's wanting to work there too. ooops
I did think "WOW" that's an age gap....kids that work & one on the way, LMBO!!! I was feeling very sorry for you. Now I understand & it would have helped if I'd had Googled baristas....LOL!!!!!! Knowing me I might have still thought you were preggers. WAYYYYY to much powdered sugar at my house lately, it's going to the brain.

Dena----Is Mocha powder what I'm looking for? I found it online & want to make sure this is it first. Thanks.
yes...the mocha powder. but to make the mocha frappaccinos they mix that powder in hot water...about half and half ratio...and the syrup that it makes is what they use for all the "Mocha" drinks. I had to ask my son. I really did not know all this stuff...ah...it's so good to have your own personal barristas! am I spoiled? : )
