Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I am working on a cake for an order this weekend for our local Library. I plan to make 2 9x13" layer cakes which I will off set stack on top of each other. I have used a 2 piece book pan and have made a solid sugar book. I want to make 4 pages for the book with edible images. I have printed on the wafer paper before but was not impressed with the outcome. Is there a simple way to adhere edible image (fondant sheets) to the wafer paper without destroying the image when the pages touch?

Thanks

The stacked cakes will be books with the sugar book on the top.

As long a s your fingers are not wet, it should not harm the icing sheet. When applying to fondant, simply dampen the fondant either with a spray bottle, resting a damp paper towel over the fondant or you can out crisco on the fondant and then place the image one the cake. Yuou can use the backing off the icing sheet to placeover the image when smoothing the image out. I like to flex the icing sheet to find the middle and then smooth the image out from the center to the edges.

Here's how my book came out. I placed a thin layer of buttercream on wafer paper.
