Voting for holiday cake contest

Cheryl, voting should be done by current CWB members.  Recruiting members for the purpose of voting in a contest is frowned upon and considered cheating.

Cheryl,

The contest specifically says, "for beginners" you say on your profile that you are a professional - to me that is not a beginner.  I believe if you are a professional you should have made more than 30 decorated cakes as well.

Therefore, what was mentioned to you with the first reply still goes but it might be wise to read the contest rules completely and understand it prior to entering any contest.

i am a retired pofessional chef not a bakewr I have made 6 cakes thats all there us a big difference between cooing and decorating cakes.

Well if she has only decorated 6 cakes then buy the rulls she is alowed to be in this contest the friends part is not alowed but think she understands that hopefully my wife dont see this lol have good one guys and good luck

Yes I understand that having my friends vote for me is not allowed and I did not know that in the beginning but they didnt vote because they couldnt  vote without being a member and didnt want to become one.  I think 2 people might have became members that are my friends and they make cakes and voted. So i told my personel family and friends not to vote for me. I dont have enough votes to be in the top ten anyway and if i did I would take myself off the list if   because that would only be the fair thing to do. Thank you ladies and gentlman for letting me know. I just started making cakes for a hobby and I only make them for family or for friends as a gift, do to my being disabled and facing upcoming knee replacements. I am a retired chef, and baking and decorating is something i do once in awhile just for fun. This was a cake I made and donated for a Christmas party for a womens group that I belong to. I do not sale the cakes, I bake at home in my home kitchen because that is against the law and I don't want to get a big fine if I got caught doing that. I would love it if the law got changed here in Texas so home bakers could sale thie cakes. A friend of mine that belongs to this group saw the cake picture on my site and she suggested I enter it so I did. Happy decorating everyone and Thanks again Cheryl
