Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! :)

I came across this product called Vanuance Pearls, and it is isomalt but in a capsule form! Anyone used it before??

I wanted to know what is an inexpensive way to create a mould out of kitchen items? If i poured the melted sugar to a 'non-stick foil' will it still stick once it's hardened? Or should i use parchment paper?

Any thoughts, advice would be great!!

Thanks a million!!

I bought some of these and tried making the beer bottles out of it.... I am not a fan of them myself but I don't like poured sugar work either.  They have a terrible smell to them.
Avoid them.  Expensive.  Get isomalt instead (it's the same darned thing) and use that.  You can pour it on foil and once thoroughly hardened it will peel off.

Hi,

The place i buy my cake supplies from is out of Isomalt, so they gave me this as an alternative.

Can i use 'non stick' foil?
