US products in the UK
Thought my kissin' cousins might be interested to know this. Tesco have just started doing some American Products. Great, I thought, do I finally get to share all the things I felt I'd been missing? Ye Gods, the prices!!!!! How does £3.50 for a 453g tub of Crisco sound? Or maybe £3.50 for a 473ml of Light Corn Syrup? And these are supposed to be special introductory prices! I think not.

Consider AU $15-$24 [£9.75- £15.60] for 3lb tub of Crisco? Or AU $8-$13 [£5.20-£8.45] for a 473ml Karo?

lol, I know Linda. Seems like we have to pay a fortune for imported US products. It's the same with everything - cake mixes, any kind of equipment - molds, stencils etc.

Guess I should consider myself fortunate then. Can find most things I need or want here. If I do need to import from USA, if I shop around, I can usually find some site with reasonable shipping. :0)
