Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Help!  I know this can be done, but I can not remember the specifics of the technique.

I have a large 5 tier wedding cake to deliver.  The design includes fondant bands at the bottom of each tier.  I will be assembling the cake on site (far too big to carry as a whole).  I know there is a way to roll the bands then unroll onto the cake.  How do I keep them from sticking onto each other?  Any ideas?

Hi Laney.

I'd just dust them with cornstarch or powdered sugar very lightly before rolling. You could roll them with a piece of waxked paper, but it may leave marks.
