Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hello Fellow Bakers I was wondering if anyone tried the Topsy Turvy Cake Pans and if so is it worth out or is the old school way better ?

I saw them at Global Sugar Arts when I got their email about their specials for May.  I don't do many TT cakes but was wondering the same thing.  They are not carved in so the base will not be smaller than the top so am thinking they will be a straight edge with a slanted top.  I like Sharon Zamtiot's TT method... her cakes are so pretty.  I have her DVD and it explains it so well. 

Am curious to see what everyone has to say!!!

 

Just wondering... wouldn't you get the same tilted effect if you were to prop up one side of the cakepan inside the oven ?
