Hello to all you expert flower makers out there. Have any of you got any tips about how to cover a flower wire in florist tape? I really struggle with this and as a result, hate doing it. In particular, I have trouble starting the taping off - I can never get it right up to the flower and it keeps slipping round and dropping down the wire. So I'm ending u

Totally agree... taping is not the most fun.   I know I have several cakes coming up that I have flowers to do so I will be getting out the wires and the tape soon to get going so I am ahead of the game.  I like to work ahead so I am not stressed the week of a cake.  I always do my flowers at least 2 weeks in advance.  Makes the week of so much more fun!

Totally Jeri - the further ahead, the better as far as I am concerned

We were driving for 5 hours today and I ALMOST threw in my plastic container with the wires and tape so I could tape wires while we were driving... but I resisted... we are on a little get away weekend and thought maybe I should for once leave the work at home!!! ;-)
