Soft Royal Icing does not exist.

You can add glycerine to take the edge of it's ability to break teeth and shatter when cut, but you can't make it softer ... egg white is over 90% water, which when dried, is rock hard.

Depending upon what you want to use it for : 2 egg whites to 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of glycerine, and 14-16 oz powdered sugar. You would have to adjust it as you go ...
