I find silicone bake-ware hard to handle. It's so flexible you need something under it (like a baking sheet) to get it in and out of the oven. I think I'd buy a regular bundt pan. Saw some nice ones at Wal Mart the other day.
Thanks Kathy, off to Wal Mart this weekend.
I agree with Kathy. I was excited to try the silcone bake-ware but then was diappointed. I find that the regular bake wear really cooks more evenly and much easier to handle. Im sorta glad to be diapaointed then I wouldn't go on yet another bake-ware buying binge :)
I have some, Christmas themed silicone bakeware, I have never used it but was thinking of trying it out for the holidays this year.... Maybe I will or maybe I wont now... I will let you know if I do.... I think I used the bundt pan I have once and it was a little hard to use, and it was didn't come out of the pan very well.
I have an Ohio State block "O" pan. I still can't get past the fact that it's silicone. They say it's safe but they also tell you you should never microwave in plastic containers because the vapors plastic releases while it's cooking. To me it's kind of the same thing. I'll stick my traditional baking pans from now on. Just my opinion.
