was wondering , i am going to be making halloween decorations using modeling chocolate molds

but halloween types, but instead of using modeling chocolate i will be using royal icing, my question is , do i use cooking spray in the molds before i pipe my royal icing in the molds or when the royal icing is dry and hard and finished, will it be able to pop out of the molds without spraying with nonstick cooking spray ??? thanks for your time ,Hope every one is well

I have never used royal icing in a chocolate mold. If you spray the molds with cooking spray it will probably ruin the royal icing... one enemy of royal icing is any kidn of grease. I do not think the chocolate molds would work with royal because it becomes brittle... let us know if it works!
Do not spray the molds!!! I did try this, and my bunnies came out cut, but my roses did not. It really depends on the detail you want. I think if it is kinda a flat mold it works. I did them white and then painted them. But I only did it once.
