Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I've used fondant before, but personally never really ate it.

So, I'm looking at making a few cakes and fondant is the median that will give me the nice look I'm looking for, but....what is your suggestion for a good fondant that will actually taste good?  Marshmallow?  I saw a recipe for that....do you still put the buttercream crumb coat on with the marshmallow fondant?

Thanks!  Any and all help is appreciated.

Yes MMF - marshmallow fondant is really good and taste just like marshmallows.  You can make it any color and add flavoring.  I just leave it tasting like the marshmallow.  Jus tmake the fondant up the day before you want to use it so it rests and it will be easier to use.
I always buy Satin Ice because I am too lazy to make my own!  You can also use ganache to cover your cake and it will give it a very nice finish and tastes wonderful too!
MMF is the way to go. I haven't been decorating cakes very long but the MMF is so much easier to use. You still get the beautiful finished look, and it really tastes great
