I picked up the Cricut Cupcake Wrapper Cartridge at WalMart the other day and made cupcake wrappers last night.  You can get 3 standard size wrappers out of 1 sheet of scrapbooking paper.  It is easy to use and for the price not bad.   It is a WalMart exclusive cartridge.  If you have a cricut and want to make cupcake wrappers... this is a good one.  I think there are about 50 designs and there are topper designs too.

That sounds awesome! Post some pics?! : )
I bought one last week. I can't wait to use it!
Plan on getting as soon as I go to Walmart, not one of my favorite stores. But do want to get this cartridge.
It sounds like something I would love to have!!

Do you know what the life-expectancy is of the blades, Jeri? And are they expensive to replace?
Here is the link and when you get there you can see all of the imagines.

As for the Cricut Expression or Baby Cricut including all of the necessary items needed to go with this wonderful toy, I would suggest going to your favorite craft store with coupons and check out eBay too, you will be amazed what is listed. There are many wonderful deals but Black Friday is the best for the Expression at your local craft store. That is how I got my Expression!

Life expectancy on the blades depends on the usage and what types of papers you use, including the depth and pressure settings. Go to the first link I listed to learn more then go to your local craft stores. Have fun!

If you are serious about the Expression and Baby bug, go to my blog and check it out. Finally, I have a wonderful person on my blog that I follow is a great help for every level of Cricut fans! Capadia Designs!

I'm always looking at these machines but I've never "pulled the trigger" and bought one. As for going to a craft store with coupons, I've found that Michael's 40% coupons usually say "not valid for cricut machines or accessories" (of course). I don't know about other craft stores though. Does Hobby Lobby even carry the Cricut stuff? I think the only thing I would really use it for would be cupcake wrappers. Now I'm wondering if I could work a deal with one of you nice ladies who has a machine like this to custom order those?? :)

If you are serious about the machine and want it for other things, I would suggest getting one for yourself. Where I live we have the Roberts and they are on online for the first time this year! Of course, I go IN my local store!

The deals are, in my opinion, a heck of a lot better than Michaels. I used to be a "M" fan in California but since we moved and we have "M" and Roberts and Joanns. I check out Joanns but still Roberts is a better price for me. As for coupons and exclusion, the normal SALES will have Specials on Cricut and supplies constantly at Roberts.

and of course there is Joanns!

My problem with helping you is I may not be available to help you or have the right cartridges that you desire for the help. I do not have the Cupcake one, sorry. If I am available and if I do have the cartridge(s) for you, of course, I would try to work with you on occasion - not a regular thing. I know you will understand.

Thanks for the info, Stampinsher.
Sher is the queen of Cricut!!! I have had my Expression for a couple years and need to use it more than I do. I love it but don't always take time for it. The cupcake wrappers are so cute. I will take pics this weekend when they are on the cupcakes... they always look better with something in them. I have not had to replace the blade yet and have had my machine for 2 years so I think they last. I do just cut paper have not used it on chipboard yet. Just love playing!!!
Ahhh, that is so sweet, I'm blushing. Please remember I give my suggestions and hopefully guide people to their own conclusions. I do love my both my Cricuts and all of the things that go with it including all of my stamping collection! If I was selling cakes, I would certainly consider the Cake Cricut as a shortcut for designing but for me it is not something that would be a good investment, I don't sell cakes.
This has been a fun conversation and I am anxious to see Jeri's cupcake holders when she is completed with her projects! The paper, designs, decorated cupcakes that is just so much fun incorporating all the great hobbies together!
Happy Cakin' Friends!

I decided to take pics of the wrappers while they are flat. Will get pics with the cupcakes this weekend. These are jsut a few differnt designs that you can do with this cartirdge. Like I said I think there are 50 different ones. I did not realize till after I took the picture that there a few dots that I did not get removed from the package one... will have to do that!

And here are a few more... I had to make some in white cardstock to figure out how big to make them etc... You can make them for the minis or the standards or jumbos... The butterfly one on the side is a topper. There are a bunch of toppers that you can make for decorations... would be fun to cut them out of fondant on a cricut cake!!!
