Hi everyone.

Has anyone ever used silicone molds for sugarpaste? There are a couple i have seen that i would like to get. However, ive read that the sugarpaste is hard to get back out espcially the intricate designs? Is there a way round this ?

Thanks for any help

I dust my silicone molds with cornstarch before putting in my fondant.  Works every time

Good point Nancy well made.

Thanks, i did read about dusting with cornflour first. My veiner turned up today. I was so impatient to use it, i think i did it wrong? I just all stuck to it. I couldnt get it off !! Should i dust that ?

Your veiner stuck to your sugarpaste?  Is it a veiner tool or an imprint?  If it's an imprint then you might want to dust that too.

Ha! Ummm... its a multi veiner?

Ooh, this looks cool.  But I could see that it might well need dusting first as it's a lot like a mould.  Try cornflour or shortening or petal base.  you'll find what works best for you.  Cornflour probably.
