Modeling chocolate amount ??

I have a couple wedding cakes to do soon and I am covering them with pure white modeling chocolate. I am looking for the pounds of chocolate needed to cover various sizes of round layer cakes.

I have done a long loaf cake with modeling chocolate so if anyone has any techniques you would like share that would be great.
