Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I checked our site and I didn't see an answer to my question or a recipe for my question below.

Marshmallow Fluff, I'm not too sure exactly what this is.  I went on the internet and found "marshmallow fluff" but you need to purchase it in huge quantities and I don't want to do that.

My first question is:

Per the gal's recipe she changed it and used the Marshmallow Cream at the store but she said it was okay but not what she wanted for sure.  Does anyone know where to purchase Marshmallow Fluff that might be package like marshmallow cream?  Small quantities at a reasonable price?  Is Marshmallow Fluff under a different name or brand name?

Next,

I found a recipe to make it the marshmallow fluff but I thought I could just buy it instead.

I want to make, "faux hostess cupcake filling", with my research I decided that this was the best recipe for me but guess what, she used marshmallow cream in the store and was a bit disappointed.

Any help or suggestions, I would really appreciate greatly.  I want that type of filling to fill some cupcakes and my husband loves it, therefore, we buy the real cupcakes instead of me making them - boo-hoo.  I want to make them.

Marshmallow Fluff and the Kraft marshmallow creme are the same thing just different brands.  You shouldn't have any trouble interchanging them in the recipe.  Some grocery stores carry the Marshmallow Fluff and some don't, it may be a regional thing.  As far as making the marshmallow creme, I wouldn't do it.  You can purchase it very inexpensively so why go to the trouble.

You can actually find marshmallow fluff in a grocery store.  maybe a recipe for homemade marshmallow might give you what you are looking for.
you can also buy different flavors of marshmallow creme at www.kitchenkrafts.com
You can find the Marshmallow Fluff in the peanut butter and jelly section in the super market..

Oh Allyson and Patricia,

GREAT timing because I'm going into town tomorrow and I will look harder for the marshmallow "FLUFF" and I will look at the PB&J area as well.  I will look everywhere on all of the shelves.  I have a Marshmallow Mission to solve!

Thank you one and all.  I'll get back to you all tomorrow when I return from the store!

LOL and smiling!
