Greetings all, I have been asked to make petit fours for a wedding early 2013 and am starting early to find out as much as possible on make delicious ones, as well as how to coat them etc. Please, any information that you can share will be so greatly appreciated. I made some about two years ago and it was such a mission - but now I am sure I will accomplish more and better with advice from all you cakestars :-) Thanking you in anticipation :-)

Do they want the petite fours covered in icing or fondant? Or she didn't state a preference? I use to have a recipe Mandy for a poured fondant. I looked high & low for it the other day, and I can't find it. Like Cake Pops, there is no real "easy way". Found this blog on petite fours. Quite informative. Give it a look.

Hi June, she has sent me a picture but it looks like there are two different things on it - mini cakes and petit fours = so I need to get in touch with her to find out exactly what she is wanting - thank you for the blog, I will give it a looksee tonight or tomorrow - thanks you superstar :-)
