Making my first airplane cake

I would like to try my first airplane cake for my husband's birthday. He is a pilot of a Boeing 707. I am still a novice at cake decorating, but i know if i can break the project down into simple steps then it will not seem so overwhelming. Any help or videos would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!
