I need to make a deckchair out of fondant for a beach theme cake

How can I make a deck chair out of fondant? Any suggestions

Not sure if this would be helpful, but I made sun bathing figurines that were lying on chairs which were mini loaf cakes sculpted into a lounge chair shape. I covered them in fondant and made fondant "towels."
I would add Tylose to the fondant so that it will be nice & sturdy. You may want to check out CakeCentral.com & search for chairs. I think one of the members posted a template for an adirondack style chair & there may be others. Good luck!

have a look at this website I think it might be what you are looking for...
I created some pool chairs (pictured here: http://melcakewalk.blogspot.com/2008/10/2nd-order-from-phd-serts.html) by cutting strips of gum paste and letting them dry for several days. I also cut support pieces (legs and chair back) and let them dry. When all the pieces were dry, I used royal icing to "glue" them together. Sorry, it's hard to explain through just text, but I'd be glad to further explain if you have questions. :)
