We have entered into a cake contest on facebook, Voting ends march 20th

This is what we have asked people not to do with our voting so it is hard for me to do it on another site. Sorry.
If I go there and see that your cake is superior and the cake that should win, I would have no problem voting for you but I do not think we should vote for someone on this site or any other site just because we know of the person or like the person. When I coached softball I'd always tell the team if we get beat by a team that is better than we are... go over shake their hands and tell them good game and know you did your best. Guess I kind of think the same in cake contests.
Sorry if this sounds harsh but I'm kind of old school!

Well I have to say, i totally understand what your saying and normally I dont go asking for people to vote for my cakes, casue i am usually entering into cakes contests here on cakes we bake, but this cake contest is from a different Site through facebook , and those are the rules of this cake site i enterd into , to get anyone of our firends and familys to vote on our cake,, and i wasnt sure if this post wasok or not but i figured it would be worth a shot to try and ask ,but thanks anyways
