How was your week??

I have not done this in a while and I figured while I had a free moment, I would. 

How was your week? Cake or non-cake related? 

I finished my first Wilton course and begin the second on Thursday. I'm super excited!! However, my cake for my last class fell to pieces... I was making a caramel apple cake, which was an experiment. I always use parchment on the bottom of my pan but I was in a rush and just oil an  floured it, bad idea, ran a knife around the cake and after letting it cool for about 10 minutes in the pan, turned.it to the cooling rack and it fell to pieces. Then the second layer sunk, badly so i went to class cake-less. It was a stressful day. I'm having issues with school, frankly, I'm board. I'm now looking into the nursing program. 

Anyway, I kind of redeemed myself with some uber delicious cookies I made and the first milestone of losing 10 lbs!!! I've been baking mini cupcakes for the children at my church and have received rave reviews, even from parents. Tomorrow they are getting cookies, this home-baker is tired of being on her feet. Oh! I also got an outside non family/friend cupcake order.
