I would like to attempt a shoe and purse cake. Are there molds or are they sculpted? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

There are cutters and molds to use for shaping heels, which I assume is what you are looking for. They can be expensive. Globalsugarart.com has them and a quick Google search will find you more. If you are inventive, you can look around your house and find something that slants similar to a high-heel (or if you have a heel you no longer need, disassemble it and use it for shaping). Here is a tutorial with a template: http://rosesen.wordpress.com/2010/10/06/gumpaste-shoe-tips-and-temp.... And here is a template: http://cakecentral.com/gallery/81322 and the tutorial is here: http://www.how2cakes.com/shoe.html.

I can't remember seeing a purse mold, but here is a good tutorial for making mini purse cakes: http://www.thecakerator.com/2010/01/mini-purse-cake-tutorial.html. They can be made out of rice krispies as well, if you only want it for a topper.

Thank you so much for the tips! I ended up making two purses and a shoe. Thanks again!!

Youtube has a great tutorial on from pink cake box and also cakecentral has wonder templates for creating a shoe I love it nice and easy and fun to make I just hate creating the box I can't measure very well lol

I have seen shoe mold before but I think bags are sculpted.
