hi maria i had the same problem a few week ago,for the tower i ended up using a plastic bottle with the top and bottom cut off, i made rice crispy treats using enough rice crispys to fill the bottle and about 200g melted chocolate mixed together and pushed in to the bottle, i left this to set for 24hrs then cut the bottle off, i made another one to suit for the turret making a cone with grease proof paper, other ideas i had was to use ice cream cones, but found they were very brittle.

hope this is helpful, good luck

Hey Maria

Can you get rice crispy cereal where you are. Pretty easy to make rct. Just the cereal & marshmallows mixed together. Once your rct treats are set, they are easy to shape into anything you want. Very easy to cover with modelling chocolate or fondant. They would be good & sturdy for turrets.

Thanks Suziq, complete with picture!!!Yey!!!

I will check if they sell RCT in the supermarket here. So I just need to melt marshmallow just like what I do in making fondant? Ok I will try this!!! Thanks June!!!

There use to be a recipe on the box for rct. If not, it is easy to google the recipe. I made baby shoes from rct and it was easy. Then covered with fondant. It was so easy to work with.   :o)

It's a problem again, couldn't find rice crispies in the supermarket here......  I will try the ice cream cones and the bottle of the chocolate. It's very frustrating when you need something and you couldn't find what you need. Thanks for all your help ladies.

Hey Maria

Sorry you couldn't find rice crispies cereal. I found a good tutorial using ice cream cones & paper towel rolls. Posted it for you here. Check it out. seems pretty simple.   :o)
