How to for Julie Bashore's 3D flower from Butterfly cake.

So you want to how Julie Bashore used Icing Images' Printer system and Premium icing sheets to create her 3D flower effect on her beautiful Butterfly cake.  Here ya go.

1. Print large detailed flower designs using a Icing Images Premium Icing Sheets.

2. Roll out lavender fondant very thinly. (photo 2-2 fondant.jpg)

3. Dampen fondant with water.

4. Place fondant over image and smooth gently.  Press fondant in to image to be sure there are no air bubbles.

5. Cut out flowers using a Xacto knife to cut around flower petal tips.

6. Use a bone tool to thin and slightly cup petal tips.  Pull tips upwards and allow to set slightly raised. 7. When dry, pipe around petal tips with Julie Bashore’s White Piping  Gel .  Use a small flat paintbrush to pull piping gel down towards center of flower giving a brush embroidery effect.
