<p>I don't do enough cakes to justify the electricity used. I do have a small beer fridge of my sons, so if I really needed to put icing or something & needed the room, I could always plug it in & use it.</p>

<p>if there is low moisture in your frig , the fondant and deco's should be fine! I've been testing my new refrig I've had fondant and royal, cake pops and fondant and tylose mixed decos in for a few days now, they are fine still , wooo hooo I could not do that with my old frig!</p>

My first cake was a big leaning experience and the buttercream recipe I had used was too oily, so the fondant was sliding. once I got it all stable, I put it in the fridge overnight to try and stabilize it. worked fine. I was worried the cake would be dry, but it wasn't dry at all! in fact, family members were commenting on how moist it was.</p>

<p>I put my decorated cakes in the fridge all the time too - makes them more stable for transporting - never have had a problem! They stay great at a cool room temp for a few days, too. Good luck!</p>
