Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hi everyone, need a lil help. I have a 2 layer marble cake with either chocolate or vanilla buttercream, fondant covered cake due Fri evening. How far in advance can I finish it without it effecting the freshness of the cake & frosting? I thought about having it all done by Thurs afternoon. Thanks.

Thursday won't be any problem. I like to have mine finished the day before delivery just in case something goes wrong.
I agree with Deah. I also always bring my baking firstaid toolbox with me when delivering a cake. It contains fondant/frosting of the kind used on the cake; extra decorations, and spatula, paper towels, wipes and anything else that I would need, just in case.

Thanks y'all! Gonna start baking now. lol
definately a day ahead.... the last cakes I did in August had the 2 big weddings in one day and worked up to the last minute... never want to do that again!
Good Morning, Yes, finishing a day in advance is a good idea. This gives you relief from the stress and gives you time to prepare your delivery and set-up kit.
And you have time to do your hair before you deliver tee hee!!!
