How do you attach a brooch and ribbon on a wedding cake

I use royal icing. It rinses off in warm water when you are done.

Thanks for the information Jeri. One more question. Do you place royal icing only on the pin of the brooch, or do you cover the entire back on the brooch with the royal icing?.

I actually put the royal icing on the cake then push the broach into the royal so it adheres to both. Just be careful to not put too much on it will squish out the sides!
