Has anyone tried Martha Stewart or other punches on fondant
Hi, i've learned that people are using punches for fondant and they come out really good, they roll it out really thin, let it sit for about 20 minutes then put it in the punch, can't wait to try it, seem like you might not need as many molds, what do you think

I think the only issue you might encounter is cleaning them? I'm not a scrapbooker, so I don't know if you can disassemble them to clean. They do make punches for fondant - I've seen them at Michael's. But I know there are a LOT more choices in the scrapbook aisle.

yes paper punches, and they say they all work nice, some use corn starch, a little crisco, or just let the fondant sit for about 20 minutes it doesn't sound like they are to hard to clean, the post had a lot of people using them, it's the first i heard of it.

I USE THE PUNCHES. I ROLL THE FONDANT REALLY THIN AND PUT TO REST IN THE FRIDGE FOR 10 MIN AND THEN PUT IT IN THE PUNCH. YOU FOUND BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS IN HOBBY STORES.

I have a lot of punches with my scrapbooking stuff but have not used them in my cake making. I don't like to mix my scrapbooking things with my cake stuff.... but it is an idea. I would think you could not clean them real easily though. And that is a problem for me. I'd want them clean for my paper crafting. Stampin Up has a lot of nice punches too.

Just went to a class on the big shot this morning and am ordering some die cuts... I don't know if they will work with fondant or gumpaste but I also went to a yard sale today of a lady who was a stampin up demonstrator and she had some killer prices. I picked up several punches and some die cuts too and thought I'd give it a try to see the outcome...

Ok... as I was making gumpaste flowers last night, I gave it a shot... and YES you can and it punches clean. I used a MS snowflake punch that I have that is very intricate and just massaged the gumpaste with crisco on my hands to get it really nice then rolled it very thin and made sure that it was very even.... cut a small piece that would fit into the punch with eoungh for me to hang on to and held my breath... punched it and came out perfect! So.... I used a flower punch... wonderful... then I went and got my MS eyelet lace punch that is a border punch... it punches it very nicely but... it is very hard to move it and do longer pieces of it. I did not let the gumpaste set up at all with the smaller punches and tried it both ways with the border punch... if you let the gumpaste set for about 20 minutes it punches easier on the border punch. I did not have any sign of anything at all on my punches.
