Handpainting on fondant

Just started doing some handpainted cakes and they are taking forever to dry. I like more of an opaque look to them instead of a watercolor one. I mix my gelpaste with Wilton White White and vodka. Just wondering if airbrush colors dry faster. Any ideas?
