Hey ladies,
Question while i was making my first fondant cake...one of the things I made was a crown. So i added gumpaste to the fondant and made the crown and let it sit to dry. But i noticied that it started to crack in all sorts of places (and obviously I was freaking out)!! I couldn't get a smooth look to the crown. I tried sticking the cracks together with water and that didn't work!!
I did manage to get the crown safely onto the cake, but for future cakes could you help me understand why the cracks would occur? Is there something I am doing wrong??
