How do I make the top of the box?

I did one, you can look in my pictures to see it, but the "lid" was closed, so all I did was cover the entire cake with the light peach, then layed a darker piece over the top, smoothed it down and cut the sides the height I wanted. Hope that makes sense. For an open lid, or detached lid, you can either cover a single layer cake on a board, or cover a piece of styrofoam.

I made sure the tops of the cakes were really sharp and level, before covering with fondant. Then i cut a strip of fondant to go around the top edge. I liked the way it came out, but if I ever do this again, I'm going to try making an actual box lid with chocolate or color flow.
