I would do the same as Sherry. As for covering the board with the cake on it, the fondant is usually roll out like a sausage , then flattened. I would then roll it ,then unroll itaround the edges of the cake and cut off the excess.Some people prefers this method as it saves on the amount of fondant used. Personally, I prefer to cover the whole board with fondant, then place a cake circle underneath the cake before placing it on the fondant covered board.<br />
