Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I am doing a colorful fondant bow for a birthday cake to celebrate several people's birthdays.  YES, I know I shouldn't have done this project for this cake since I've never done it before, but it looked SO easy.  Now a couple of my loops are falling down and cracking just a bit beyond the point where they are affixed to the base (or to each other).  Is it because the heat/humidity is keeping them from drying?  Did I use too much gum paste?  How do I fix this for a cake due tomorrow night?  HELP!!

I know the humidity can make a mess of things... I live where it is high and dry so don't usually deal with humidity. I use straight gumpaste whenever making bows... and I make the loops at least a week in advance or more so they will dry all the way. If they are not dry... they are so difficult to keep in place. And as you assemble the bow you need either chunks of foam, or crupmpled up saran wrap or something to help it keep the shape while assembley is going on. Leave the support in for 24 hours or more until the bow is dry again.
knead 1tsp cmc into your fondant. add cornflour to your buttercream.ues this to fix the bow to the cake
