First timer!

So today me and the family took a trip to the craft store Michaels. And I have been talking to the husband about wanting to get into baking n decorating cakes and cup cakes.... so he said... go grab some things with the spending limit of $50.00 =( hahaha Being as Im brand-spanking new I picked up a piping bag, a few tips n a couple other things. When I got home I put some cup cakes in and went to town. I am very proud of my work for being new.... I will post pictures in a few minutes once my 2 month old falls asleep =) Today was a good day =)

Any tips/hints to do better would be great!! Thanks

(PS. My hubby also went to walmart and got me a kitchen aid mixer....man am I spoileddd )

Hey Samantha ............ ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... you say your a first timer and you have already done something i dont even want to atempt yet... (decorating) i am so scared of it but you seem to be really good ... gosh to think its your first time :) nice work !!! thank you also for opening a place where i could have used to introduce myself .. your a first timer and i am too :) hope we can both see our growth thanks to this site :)

p.s. i spent like $400 when i first got into it, and that was only the first time to the store, i had to get everything else i realized i missed after a few classes

I'm a newbie too and you are doing great!!! I signed up for a Wilton Basic Class over at Joann's! Starts in April. Check out my new blog i have....everything is new to me too!!
