Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hi everyone!

I would like to do a pull apart cupcake cake and would like to include edible images on top of it.

The edible image would span multiple cupcakes, so i'm just wondering when the customer "pulls" apart the cupcake how would the edible image split?? LOL...does it make sense what I am saying?

I have to do a sesame street themed cake and was thinking of putting pictures of the characters on the cupcake cake, but not on EACH cupcake - but span multiple! I am also open to other suggestions on design :)

Any thoughts on how this would look and how the pulling away would work?

I hope I make sense here!!! LOL...

can you score the picture so that the cuts aren't seen but tear easily? like - - - - -  something like that.  hope this helps.

I got  this from this website: http://www.goldilocks.com.ph/bakeshop/celebration-cakes/wedding-cakes/

This is a mosaic cake and maybe you can get the idea on how you can make your sesame street themed cake.  I have a Facebook page: RC cakes and kindly check my album Making Sesame Street Characters. Hope this is what you want.

Could you cut the edible image first, so that each piece fits  a cupcake, then when they are placed together, you get the whole image, but doesn't then tear when a cake is taken away?
