Here are a couple of YouTube videos Eunice that might help. I learned to drape in my 1st fondant class , but have actually never done it. Don't know how you can transport a draped cake in pieces tho?? If cake is doweled & attached with Royal icing, it's not going to move. Especially if you have a piece of rubber underneath the cake board during transport.

If you are going to transport the tiers separately, I guess you will have to make your drapes in pieces too.  So you will need to be very precise in making them, to ensure that they look like one when the tiers are stacked.  Could you do it like that and then add some flowers where the drape parts meet to cover any join?

A bit like this -

Thanks, do you think if I put them in plastic bags they would be ok?  Yes the florist is coming to

put flowers on the cake.

Do you mean put the drapes in plastic bags Eunice?  I was thinking attaching each piece of the drape to each tier before transport.  If you don't and they are transported separately, is there a chance they will break or crack when you try to attach them to the cakes?.............

yes, I think putting them on each tier would be a better idea, thanks Katy

Katy came up with some Cracker Jack advice Eunice. Hope all goes well.... :o)

thanks, June

Make sure you post pictures...... :o)
