A friend of mines daughter had seen me making a tiered cake. I had told her she could design her own cake. She said that she wanted to have a tiered cake for her birthday. I had wilton's two recipe mini tier cake set so I told her she could have it. We also used the #8 cake pan. After all the cakes were cool I put the #8 cake back in the pan and poured melted chocolate over it to give it some extra support as I stood this cake up as the topper.  I used two skewers inserted halfway into the number and half into the tiered cake. She loved it! She had such fun telling everyone that SHE had designed her cake.
