Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Have you had problems moving your cut outs to the baking pan?  I have an almost fool proof method.  If you roll out the cookies on parchment or wax paper, cut them, remove the excess, place the whole sheet on cookie sheet and pop them in the freezer.  Let them freeze for about 15 minutes, peel, place then bake.    I do several layers at a time this really help when there are intricate cuts.

the freezing doesn't effect the cookie by spreading?
I have not had any problems except if you freeze them too long they get brittle but just let them sit out for a minute and you are good to go, I just did 250 cut outs for a convention and I made them ahead and froze till I was ready to bake them (about a week). I just peeled, placed and baked, it didn't affect the taste either.
thank you so much! great information as i have some cookie orders coming up. i will try your method! lisa
