I have a Cricut Cake and I really enjoy it.  I have some pictures on my page of cakes that I have used with them.  Please let me know if you have any other questions! ;)
I have a cake cricut for over a year. Didn't like it at first. I LOVE IT NOW!!!
Cindy - there are several threads in the forums here about the Cricut Cake - do a search and I'm sure you'll find lots of good info. :)
Yes I own one. I ordered mine from HSN when they first featured it. I got it but was fustrated that it didn't cut right. It sat for over a year or so until my huband pulled it out and started experimenting with it. I tried it over and over still didn't work right. I discovered that if you mix cornstarch with the fondant and roll it on the mat it works good. You have to let it set for a few minutes if the fondant is soft before cutting. I also got him to sharpen my blade. I love it. I really use it for number cut out and name for cakes. I did three or four other cakes using the cricut cake but I perfer to do cut outs and designs by hand because I love a challenge.
I have one.. but I hate to admit I've been to intimidated to use it .. isn't that a shame !  I really wanted it when it came out and I see where it can really make some beautiful clean pieces.  There is a class offered by Linda McClure that can really help with questions and suggestions.  Look up  creativedesignscakes.com  I guess its time for me stop procrastinating and try it , huh ?  Good luck !
I have a Cricut Cake and think it works great with gum paste, but for so reason I have a really hard time when it comes to using fondant.
Love mine too! In fact there was similar discussion on here recently that inspired me to do a video on how I use my CC. Feel free to give me your thoughts! I added the video here on CWB too, but here's the direct youtube link.

I have a Cricut Cake and really like it. It takes some practice but its really nice. I put my fondant in freezer on the mat for a little bit before cutting so it doesnt tear as it goes.  For chocolate fondant it was sticky after the freezer so I just let it sit out for about 20 minutes to harden before cutting.
Yes, I put mine in freezer for a couple minutes too. Seems to help.

It also works well with frosting sheets. Linda McClure has some great youtube videos.
I had a Cricuit Cake and I absolutely hated it. It was just not user friendly, I sold mine for the exact amount I paid for it.
Not really a fair statement since so far every other 'user' here likes or loves it. Sorry it didn't work out for you.
