You can always do your basic carrot cake and add your spices in an abundance to make it the way you wish or what you are thinking.  Check out spice cakes and combine the spices with your favorite carrot cake.  It can't hurt but who knows you just might make the best carrot spiced cake ever!  Perhaps a change in the cream cheese frosting as well.  You can always taste a little bit before adding the spices. This is my favorite carrot cake recipe... it is so yummy and best after it sits for a day.
