Add interest to your photo cakes

I recently had a few minutes to up-date my blog with a new tutorial. www.creativedesignsforcakes.blogspot.com

I use icing sheets a lot in my business and photo cakes are still very popular. In the past I would finish the edge of the photo with a piped border. The lastest tutorial shows how to create your own frame to add to your photo and then how to cut the outline of the picture and frame as one image. Once you go through the steps it is very easy and quick to do. You can save the different frames you create for any other project.

In the next couple of weeks I will be adding another tutorial for creating fancy, cut-out frames. There are a few more steps involved, but the results will be amazing!

For these projects I use the program Make the Cut and Silhouette Studio. I print my photos on Icing Image icing sheets and use my Silhouette to cut them out.
