Number one, how long of a shelf life does a food paste have, and second question: Besides bleach and lemon juice, does anyone have a tried and true way of removing very vibrant food paste colors from your hands....besides wearing gloves, which I have obviously not done.

Fingernail polish remover! Works for me.
Thank you Laney!! I don't have any on hand, but June suggested Vim (to me that would be Bartenders Friend) and if my Bartenders Friend doesn't work, I'll head to the store and get some. Right now my palms and fingernails are a hot pink...and I do mean HOT PINK!
I did try the Bar Keepers Friend (I called it bartenders friend...Duh!) and it helped quite a bit. It's still under my nails and deep into the back sides of my nails, but it doesn't look too bad!
I went out New Year's Eve with blue & green on my hands. I'm going to be trying these ideas too. I hate using gloves
I do too, Goreti! We were going to go out for dinner tonight and a movie, but my husband is beat anyway from work and my hands look a little weird, so I'm glad we didn't go out after all. Maybe tomorrow...when my hands look better and he's rested. lol

Try suave shampoo. I've heard it works well, but haven't tried it yet!
Thank you Teena. My husband usually uses Suave Shampoo, so that's good to know.
We use a spray that is 2/3 bleach and 1/3 water and it seems to remove it right away.
Thank you Stephanie
